The Architects of our Life

Like painting a picture so beautifully in a book,
Giving the final touches to beautify its look,
Our teachers take the pains to give us a finish,
Finally, we come out with beauty and flourish.

During our schooldays, we spill ink on our pictures,
But this is easily rubbed off by their endless lectures,
Every touch of their brush is filled with love,
For they are a heavenly gift from the father above.

Darkening the borders, filling the white places,
Till my last days, I’ll remember their face,
So caring and kind, each with their own style,
The volume of their love can suck hollow the Nile.

But from deep within my feelings does show,
My gratitude, affection and love does glow,
You’ll miss them for sure, I assure you that,
They are our dearest, never ever forget that.

For teachers are the ones who design our way,
The path to success, for our welfare they pray,
They lay the foundations of all their students,
And helps them in developing their own talents.

They build us strong to face this world,
Right from the first they begin to mould,
They secure our future and take care of us,
We all love them, so we make much fuss.

They teach us in a way to become someone,
For they care for us, as we tell everyone,
Greatly and beautifully they teach us kids,
Their love doesn’t require an arrow of Cupid’s…

To Remember Me…

A day will swoop in when my body,
Will be tucked in white sheet by somebody,
Located in a hospital busily occupied,
By those living, dying and those who just died.

At a certain moment, the doctor will check my pulse,
Announcing my first hour had arrived by impulse,
When this happens, don’t put artificial life into me,
Let my body be taken from me to hear others PLEA.

Give my eyes to the men who has never seen,
A baby’s face or the love in a woman’s eyes so keen,
Give my heart to a cruel person whose own heart,
Has caused nothing but trouble & fear from his part.

Give my blood to a teenager involved in an accident,
So that he may live to tell his grandchildren of the incident,
Take my every bone ,cell, nerve and find a way,
To make every crippled child play some day.

Let every cell of my brain be used,
In a way no doctor has ever used,
So a deaf boy can hear all the noise,
And a dumb girl can hear her own voice.

Finally burn what is left of me and give it,
To the wind, so flowers may bloom out of it,
If you really want to bury something,
Let it be my arrogance, prejudice and the other thing.

Give my SINS to the wicked One,
And my Soul to the Eternal One.
If you still want to remember me,
Do so, by saying something good to everyone you see.

If you’ve done everything I asked you to,
I’m pleased, happy & glad cause of you,
For deep within, I know something truly,
That I’ll live through you, quite truly…

Paradise on Earth

As the first beam of light enters the sky,
Expelling the darkness with a huge sigh,
The dawn itself filled with inexplicable beauty,
A scenic sunrise,  a gift from the Almighty.

The songs of the birds fill my heart with ecstasy,
The beauty of the day can drive me crazy,
The morning arrives, promising a beautiful day,
The afternoon just remains exactly the other way.

The evening crawls in with a sweet breeze,
The skies change colour with great ease,
The streams do flow and foam with fishes,
The nature has indeed granted my wishes.

The golden ball ends its journey by twilight,
The dark sky bewitched by stars at night.
The moon so filled with love, clinging to the sky,
My heart fills with the sweetest sadness. Oh! Sigh!

Each and everyone can access the paradise on earth,
But you must be pure of heart and know it’s worth,
Have no enemies, forget bitterness and love everyone,
For life is indeed short to be a selfish one.

Why do you keep your love bottled up in you?
The more you give it, the more it comes back to you,
The more you hold it tight, you’ll have none,
So love, enjoy and have lots and lots of fun…

My Heart

When I saw her first, I was dazzled by her ways,
And I fell in love with her and her cute smiling face,
So I opened the door of my heart to let her in,
But when she got inside she locked herself in.

She refused to leave my heart for someone else,
She creeped through my mind, body and cells.
I was totally confused for she wouldn’t go,
Like a little thief, she stole my heart and lo!

She filled my day and night, with love and care,
For in my heart, a cute girl did I always bear,
She began living within my heart forever,
So she did and promised to leave me for never.

Now, the problem was I couldn’t see another girl,
Or in her anger will I be drowned in a whirl,
My God! She is so into me and I do love her,
For between us an understanding do we share.

For ever since the day she entered my heart,
I never knew a day when she left my heart,
For she cared, understood and loved me,
As the days went by, only our love could I see.

In the end, I couldn’t stand it anymore,
And from the tossing seas I landed on the shore,
I locked the door of my heart from outside,
And promised to never ever leave her side...

The Early Dawn

The sun rays slowly creep through my room,
Slowly & swiftly expelling the night’s gloom,
Stirring in me a warmth of a fresh new day,
Making me happy, making my day…..

A cool breeze slowly but gently caressing my face,
The melody of birds beautifying the whole place,
The wind brings with it a smell I know too well,
The smell of her perfume, I could always tell…..

I look above, I see the blue sky painted with clouds,
This painter a greater pro than Da Vinci, with no doubts,
The painter, the One above has given touches to this place,
A blessing, a gift, a boon, I bow my head to His grace…..

A new day, a new beginning, a day that may never,
Come by again, it’s not here to stay forever,
I see the birds out flying hunting for their early game,
Trust me, I know you too feel just the same…..

The leaves glistening with the dew drops sparkling,
The faces all brightened with their eyes twinkling,
I wish I could always enjoy this beauty often,
But I seldom wake up to see the morning sun…..
