My Interview with God

Once I had an interview with God Almighty,
It was in my dreams when  I asked the Almighty,
‘Will Thou have some time for Thy humble servant?’
‘My Time is Eternity’, he answered this servant.

My first question, I think amused him a lot,
And he gave a full answer to my thought,
Actually the question was one of very simple kind,
‘What surprised Thou most of Human Kind?’

‘They dwell in the past, worry about the future,
And forget to live in the present, A good preacher,
But never follows what he himself teaches others,
And thus setting quite a poor example for others.’

‘They live as if they will never ever die,
And they die as if they never lived, thereby,
Putting me in a difficult position to wonder,
Was this creation of mine a mere blunder?’

Then a question flickered through my mind,
I looked up to His face & saw he was kind,
While detecting within should I ask him or not,
He told me to go ahead & express my thought.

‘What is that about MAN that makes Thou angry?’
He replied with a smile, ’Whenever he’s hungry,
I give him food to eat, in order to strengthen our link,
He complains the food was hot,I give him water to drink.’

‘And then he cries that the water is too salty for him,
And so I send some Cocktail Juice only for him,
But then he starts like a baby, saying he wants only water,
And there again I am in a mixture & the Angels filled with laughter.’

He smiled at me encouragingly & I remembered the days,
When I myself had followed this steps in my ways,
Edging closer, filled with fear, I spilled out my last question,
‘Do Thou forgive us easily?’ was my very last question.

He didn’t reply this time but took my hand & pointed out,
I looked up & saw a Rainbow, so clear as if painted out,
I saw His lips move but I couldn’t make out,
Cause at that moment I woke up & I began to doubt,

Was it real or was it just a dream, I kept wondering,
When my eyes caught something outside, I stopped wondering,
There outside was a rainbow, and etched to the sky was His reply,
Two words formed by the clouds was his sole reply,
“QUITE OFTEN"
